SHIP SUPERVISOR
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate vessel cargo unloading operations.
- Liaise with ship crews, port authorities, transport providers, and terminal operators.
- Supervise cargo handling activities and ensure efficient operations.
- Enforce workplace safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Monitor cargo handling to prevent damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain operational records, reports, and cargo documentation.
- Coordinate equipment availability, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage logistics, yard operations, and cargo dispatch to warehouses or transport.
- Ensure compliance with port regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Lead operational teams, assign duties, and resolve on-site issues.
- Optimize manpower and equipment utilization to minimize vessel turnaround time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in operations, logistics, shipping, or related fields preferred.
- Willing and able to work in remote island locations, travel by sea, and visit operational vessels as required.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of cargo handling, logistics, or port operations is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in operations, logistics, shipping, or related fields preferred.
- Willing and able to work in remote island locations, travel by sea, and visit operational vessels as required.
Salary
Salary: USD 600.00 ++ (Half paid in MVR)
