Senior Manager / Manager – Administration

SLIIT Kandy UNI, a leading higher education institution and extension of SLIIT, is dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and student success. Located adjacent to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, the campus offers modern learning facilities, student accommodation, library resources, wellness services, and recreational amenities.
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Manager / Manager – Administration to lead and coordinate the campus’s administrative, operational, and selected finance functions while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and overall supervision of campus administrative operations.
- Oversee key operational areas including General Administration, Human Resource Administration, Procurement, Facilities Management, and Security Management.
- Manage selected finance-related functions, including operational expense approvals, budget monitoring, procurement and payment coordination, and financial compliance.
- Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support academic and non-academic activities.
- Oversee procurement activities in accordance with institutional policies.
- Support budgeting, resource allocation, and operational planning.
- Prepare management reports and performance updates.
- Ensure compliance with legal, institutional, and governance requirements.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, campus development projects, and process improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree or postgraduate qualification in Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in administration, finance, and operations management, preferably in higher education, corporate, or service sectors.
- Proven experience in administration, HR, procurement, facilities, and security management.
- Exposure to budgeting, financial controls, and approval processes will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala (Tamil will be an added advantage).
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and administrative reporting systems.
