Role Overview

As the Deputy Manager - Finance, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring stringent compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our corporate operations and manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate closely with management to maintain financial discipline and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with LKAS/SLFRS.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide actionable financial insights to department heads.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of corporate taxation (VAT, Income Tax, SSCL, etc.) and strict compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Optimize liquidity, manage cash flow forecasting, and oversee credit control operations.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth financial audits and timely implementation of recommended controls.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide the executive and junior executive finance staff to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management from a recognized university, AND full professional qualification in ICASL, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity (experience in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous).

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced financial modeling tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Sri Lankan statutory laws, taxation, and related financial compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
