We are looking for committed and dynamic Male or Female candidate with multi-tasking skills for the following position open at Kelaniya Branch

Programme Manager / Academic Head

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for assigned programmes.
  • Ensure effective programme planning, delivery, monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Lead and supervise academic staff, lecturers, and programme coordinators.
  • Develop and review curricula, assessments, and learning materials.
  • Monitor student progress, academic performance, and programme outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinate academic schedules, examinations, and student support activities.
  • Foster industry partnerships and contribute to institutional growth and development.
  • Obtain and review regular lecturer feedback to ensure continuous improvement in teaching quality.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of lecturers and academic programmes.
  • Conduct lecturer evaluations and provide recommendations for professional development.
  • Monitor student retention, identify dropout cases, and implement strategies to reduce student attrition.
  • Follow up with students at risk of dropping out and coordinate necessary interventions.
  • Ensure all academic records, student files, and batch documentation are properly maintained, organized, and up to date.
  • Verify that all required academic and administrative documents are accurately completed and acknowledged.
  • Maintain effective documentation systems in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare academic reports and ensure timely submission of relevant records and documentation.
  • Work closely with academic and administrative teams to uphold quality standards and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education, academic administration, or programme management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic operations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
