Manager - Internal Audit

Job Summary

To lead the Internal Audit function of Semi Motors, ensuring effective risk management, internal controls, compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements, and safeguarding company assets. The role will provide independent and objective assurance to management and the board on financial, operational, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Strategy - Develop annual audit plans, conduct risk assessments.
• Audit Execution - Perform audits across all departments, review controls, ensure compliance.
• Reporting & Compliance - Prepare audit reports, present findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Governance & Risk Management - Evaluate risk frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, investigate irregularities.
• Team Leadership - Supervise audit team, collaborate across functions, and provide compliance training.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
• Professional qualification: CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA (fully or partly qualified).
• 5 to 8 years of overall experience in internal/external auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax, compliance, and labor law regulations.
