Join with us as a Manager - Pattern Technologist & Executive/Jr Executive - Planning And Sample Production
1 Senior Pattern Technologist / Pattern Technologist
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate first patterns based on customer specifications, technical packs, and design requirements.
- Create, modify, and maintain patterns using manual or CAD pattern-making systems. (Preferably in Gerber)
- Revise patterns based on fit sessions, customer comments, and technical feedback
- Collaborate closely with Garment Technologists, Merchandisers, Designers, and Sample Room teams throughout the PD process
- Ensure patterns are production-friendly while maintaining garment fit, quality, and construction standards
- Prepare measurement charts, grading specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support sample development by providing timely pattern revisions and technical guidance.
- Attend fit sessions and recommend pattern improvements to achieve customer expectations.
- Resolve technical issues related to garment fit, construction, and pattern engineering during development and production
Person Specification
- Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Degree in Clothing Technology, Fashion Technology, Pattern Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of pattern-making experience in the apparel industry with strong knowledge of garment construction, fit analysis, grading, pattern engineering, and CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Tukatech, etc.)
- Experience in woven, knit, and underwear garments is an added advantage.
2 Executive / Junior Executive – Planning & Sample Production
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sample development process from raw material in-house to sample dispatch, ensuring timely delivery to customer deadlines
- Coordinate with merchandising, product development, pattern, CAD, cutting, sewing, washing, embellishment, engineering, stores, and quality teams to ensure smooth sample operations
- Track sample progress, resolve production bottlenecks, ensure compliance with customer specifications, and optimize capacity and resource utilization.
- Prepare production schedules, generate planning reports, analyze and present monthly KPIs, and maintain product development performance records
- Lead the sample operations function, develop team capabilities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and on-time delivery
Person Specification
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Clothing Technology, Engineering, Fashion Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of garment manufacturing experience, including 1–2 years in planning and sample production
- Strong understanding of garment product development, sample room operations, woven/knit/lingerie products, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP, and BI systems
- Excellent planning, leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work under pressure, collaborate effectively, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is an added advantage.
