SALES MANAGER

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales operations, drive revenue growth, and strengthen customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, expanding market opportunities, and achieving business targets while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and brand growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to maximize performance and achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base through market development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, dealers, and business partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and ensure timely conversion of opportunities into sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, procurement, and finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and agreements with customers while maintaining profitability.
  • Ensure effective after-sales service and maintain high standards of customer relationship management.
  • Achieve sales targets while maintaining strong control over pricing, discounts, and profitability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, FMCG, retail, trading, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market development, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyze sales performance and market opportunities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results in a competitive environment.
  • Proficiency in Sinhala and English; Tamil language skills will be an added advantage.

SALES ASSISTANT

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and reliable individual to join our team as a Sales Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service while efficiently supporting daily sales operations across our retail and wholesale outlets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive and professional shopping experience.
  • Provide accurate product information, explain product features and benefits, and assist customers with purchasing decisions.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register and Point-of-Sale (POS) system, ensuring all payments are correctly recorded.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions with accuracy and accountability.
  • Issue invoices, receipts, and sales documents accurately and maintain proper transaction records.
  • Achieve sales targets through effective customer engagement, product promotion, and upselling opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain proper product displays, ensuring merchandise is neatly arranged, well-presented, and adequately stocked.
  • Monitor stock availability and coordinate with relevant teams for timely replenishment.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all cash inflows and outflows.
  • Support promotional activities and contribute to improving overall sales performance.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations, always ensuring zero cash shortages and complete accountability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Prior experience in a cashier, finance assistant, or accounting support role is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and zero-error standards.
  • Absolute honesty and integrity – this is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
  • Ability to work methodically under pressure and manage high transaction volumes during peak periods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer and team interaction.
  • Basic proficiency in accounting software or MS Excel will be an advantage.
  • Experience in operating cash registers, POS systems, or billing software will be an advantage.
