The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) is the leading Business Chamber which serves the Exporters of Sri Lanka and also represents them with relevant state authorities. The Chamber carries out many activities to promote exports from Sri Lanka. These include foreign trade missions, advisory services to members, providing country of origin certificates to exporters, conducting seminars and workshops, recognizing outstanding performance of Exporters through the annual NCE Export Awards, representing members at discussions with government policy makers, publication of The Sri Lanka Exporter quarterly journal etc.

Junior Accounts Executive (Male)

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Executive to join our Finance Division. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, accurate, and able to handle multiple financial processes while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Processing and maintaining records of Invoices, POs, Dispatch Notes other documents
• Follow-up bills and update vender bills and utility bills in the QB System
• Collection of all supporting documents necessary for statutory payments prior to the deadlines
• Maintain and update of cheque payment registers
• Regular Debt Collections & Follow ups
• Preparation of Finance and Debt collection reports
• Fixed Assets & Inventory Handling
• Accounting Records & Document Maintenance

Key Requirements

• Part qualification in AAT/CA/CIMA/ACCA or similar accounting qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and cash handling
• Proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is an added advantage)
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and multi-task under deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
