PAYMENT OFFICER
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible Payment Officer to join our Finance Department at Feed Mill. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in payment processing and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process supplier, customer and other payments accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Verify invoices, supporting documents and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare payment vouchers and process bank transfers, cheques and online payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements, bank transactions and payment records.
- Maintain proper payment documentation and filing systems.
- Coordinate with banks, suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.
- Assist in cash flow planning and payment scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and statutory requirements.
- Generate payment reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support other finance-related functions.
Preference will be given to candidates residing in close proximity to the Hanwella area.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA (partly qualified) will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Hands-on experience with SAP accounting software packages and ERP systems.
- Experience in Acc Soft accounting software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Ability to prepare accurate financial records and reports.
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience in payment processing or accounts payable functions.
- Experience in a medium or large organization will be an added advantage.
- Below 30 years.
