TRAINEE AUDITOR
Evolv International is a growing, fully owned subsidiary of Evolv Australia, a specialist Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) auditing firm. Established in 2016, Evolv International conducts many thousands of audits a year, backed by technological innovation and our knowledge and experience. Our goals of quality, efficiency and value are helping us work towards our goal of becoming the gold-standard SMSF audit business in Australia. We are searching for outstanding candidates to come on board and learn the audit business from scratch.

This is a 2-Year-Fixed Term Contract (Renewable) offering structured training, a great salary and a clear path to fast track of your career. This role is fully office-based. Our office is in HQ Colombo Building, 464/A and 464/1 TB Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10.
The Role
Primary responsibilities include:
- Electronic loading of SMSF information ready for auditors using proprietary software
- Ensuring all documents are available and performing first data verification
- Performing some basic audit tasks for superannuation funds, eventually learning to perform audits in the areas of process compliance, financial statements, applicable directives, and regulations
- Preparing and notating documents provided from clients
- Workflow management tasks as directed by the Workflow Coordinator
- Address audit issues and compliance risks as they arise
- Review and respond to audit queries as directed by management
- Maintain open communication with management and the audit team
- Perform general office administration duties in the business as directed
Competency
- Possess a degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognized university, enrolled for the same, or enrolled/ part qualification in CIMA, ACCA, CMA, AAT or HNDA. Please note that this position is not suitable for students just starting ICASL as Evolv is not able to provide supervision for the Professional Training pillar.
- High attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Well-developed computer skills
