SOURCING & DEVELOPMENT MERCHANDISER

We are a well-established and rapidly growing apparel accessories manufacturer and sourcing partner, serving internationally renowned fashion brands and garment manufacturers. With nearly two decades of industry expertise, we specialize in the design, development, manufacturing, and global sourcing of premium apparel accessories, including belts, caps, scarves, ties, socks, and fashion trims.
As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a passionate, innovative, and results-driven Sourcing & Development Merchandiser to join our dynamic team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and develop apparel accessories, trims, and raw materials from local and international suppliers.
- Liaise with customers, overseas suppliers, and internal teams to manage product development from concept to sample approval.
- Identify new suppliers, materials, and innovative products to meet customer requirements.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost competitiveness.
- Coordinate sampling, product development, and technical approvals within required timelines.
- Follow up on material sourcing, sample submissions, and development schedules.
- Monitor global fashion trends, new materials, and sustainable product innovations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
- Work closely with merchandising, production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure successful product launches.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Diploma or Degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in sourcing, product development, or merchandising within the apparel accessories or garment industry.
- Strong knowledge of apparel trims, accessories, materials, and international sourcing practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple development projects and work independently.
