Dhoni Captain

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the dhoni for guest transfers and excursions.
- Ensure the safety of guests, crew, and vessel at all times.
- Follow marine safety rules and resort procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the dhoni.
- Communicate with the operations team regarding schedules and weather conditions.
- Handle guest luggage and equipment carefully, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Monitor weather and sea conditions and make informed decisions to delay or cancel trips when required for safety.
- Comply with all maritime laws, resort policies, and environmental protection guidelines.
- Assist in emergency situations, including first aid, rescue operations, and evacuation procedures if required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- High level of responsibility and safety awareness
- Excellent navigation and vessel-handling skills
- Teamwork and coordination
- Guest-focused attitude
- Valid Dhoni Captain License issued by the relevant maritime authority
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dhoni Captain or in a similar marine role within a resort or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of local waters, navigation routes, and weather patterns
- Excellent understanding of marine safety procedures and emergency response
- Basic first aid and firefighting certification (preferred)
