Bougainvillea Retreat – Digana, Kandy

Bougainvillea Retreat is a small, personal hotel with just seven rooms, located in Digana near Kandy. We are looking for a young, motivated person who would like to learn how to provide excellent, thoughtful service to our guests.
You do not need years of hotel experience. We are much more interested in your attitude, personality, reliability and willingness to learn
Guest Service Trainee / Junior Butler
Your Role:
You will work closely with our team and gradually learn all aspects of guest service, including:
- Welcoming and looking after guests
- Serving breakfast, drinks and meals
- Keeping guest areas organized and presentable
- Helping with simple bar and service duties
- Working together with the kitchen and housekeeping teams
You will receive hands-on training and guidance and will have the opportunity to develop your skills while working with a predominantly European clientele.
Who we are looking for
This could suit someone who:
- Lives locally or in the surrounding area
- Is at the beginning of their hospitality career
- Has a friendly and naturally helpful personality
- Speaks good English and enjoys talking to people
- Is reliable, hardworking and willing to take responsibility
- Good team worker
