OPERATIONAL MANAGER – CINNAMON & SPICES EXPORT
P.T.C Agro (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an experienced and dynamic Operational Manager – Cinnamon & Spices Export to manage and supervise our cinnamon and spice export operations.
Location: Down South, Sri Lanka
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cinnamon and spice export operations, including processing, grading, packing, storage, and dispatch.
- Supervise sorting, grading, drying, and quality inspection of cinnamon and spices.
- Conduct and monitor moisture testing and ensure products meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, hygiene, and prevention of contamination and moisture-related issues.
- Monitor quality, stock, wastage, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, Production, and Export teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure correct packing, labelling, weighing, batch identification, and traceability of export products.
- Maintain relevant operational, quality, moisture testing, stock, and production records.
- Supervise operational staff and ensure daily activities are completed efficiently and on time.
- Identify operational and quality issues and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, hygiene, quality, and export requirements.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an exporting company, preferably in the cinnamon, spices, food, or agricultural export industry.
- Practical knowledge of cinnamon and spice processing, quality checking, moisture testing, grading, and packing.
- Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of export-related operational activities.
- Willingness to work in the Down South area is essential.
