Dart Global Logistics, a leading international logistics service provider with over 40 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Executive – Air Freight Export. The ideal candidate should possess strong air freight operational knowledge, excellent negotiation and coordination skills, and a customer-focused approach to delivering efficient, cost-effective, and timely freight solutions.
Role Description
The Executive – Air Freight Export will be responsible for managing day-to-day air export operations from booking through to final delivery. The role requires close coordination with customers, shippers, airlines, internal sales teams, and overseas agents to ensure smooth cargo movement, timely shipment execution, and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily air freight export operations from booking to final delivery.
- Understand customer requirements and provide competitive freight solutions in line with market conditions.
- Negotiate freight rates and secure cargo space with airlines.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from internal sales teams and overseas agents.
- Coordinate with shippers to arrange cargo movements and ensure timely uplift.
- Plan shipments effectively to meet customer timelines.
- Communicate flight schedules and shipment updates to customers and overseas agents.
- Ensure the proper handover of job files for pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation.
- Monitor shipment progress, proactively address delays, and follow up on Proof of Delivery.
- Maintain accurate operational records and shipment documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental objectives and key performance indicators.
- Adhere strictly to operational deadlines, company procedures, and professional standards.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management in line with business requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in air freight export operations or cargo handling.
- A Diploma or Higher Diploma in Logistics Management from a recognized institution; or
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) would be an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of air freight export procedures and cargo-handling processes.
- Strong customer-service orientation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy.
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- A strong commitment to operational excellence.
