Intern, Sustainability
We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern, Sustainability to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and implementation of sustainability initiatives across the property.
- Assist in collecting, analysing, and maintaining sustainability-related data and reports.
- Coordinate awareness campaigns and colleague engagement activities that promote sustainable practices.
- Support environmental audits, compliance activities, and sustainability assessments.
- Collaborate with internal departments to monitor and improve resource efficiency and waste management initiatives.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documentation related to sustainability projects.
- Stay informed on sustainability trends and best practices, contributing ideas to support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A passion for sustainability and a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
