TAX EXECUTIVE

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare/review and file statutory tax returns (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, APIT, SSCL where applicable and other taxes)
- Review & verify monthly, quarterly and annual tax liabilities (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, APIT, SSCL where applicable and other taxes)
- Maintain accurate tax schedules and reconciliations
- Ensure timely payment of all taxes to avoid penalties
- Review and verify the group of companies in tax related information and ensure proper documentation
- Review, verify, upload and manage tax-related information through the RAMIS system
- Liaise with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and other government authorities
- Support internal and external audits by providing tax-related information
- Monitor changes in Sri Lankan tax legislation and advise management on compliance requirements
- Assist with tax planning and implementation of tax-efficient practices
- Prepare management reports relating to tax compliance and tax provisions
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
- Fully/Partly qualified in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA or Chartered Institute of Taxation (SL)
- 2-5 years of experience in taxation and finance
- Good knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws and RAMIS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting softwares
