MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Department of Coffee is a specialty coffee brand located in Colombo 07, dedicated to serving exceptional brews paired with an elevated cafe dining experience. We combine coffee craftsmanship with a high-standard food menu to deliver an outstanding experience in every cup and plate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance on coffee machines, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and other café equipment.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance work.
- Attend to maintenance requests from café locations promptly.
- Inspect outlets regularly and identify maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.
- Maintain maintenance records and schedules.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of basic tools and spare parts.
- Support new store setups, equipment installations, and outlet refurbishments when required.
- Ensure all outlets comply with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in hospitality, retail, or F&B.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel between café locations.
- Valid driving licence is prefer.
