ABOUT THE ROLE
Grand Apartments is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Draftsman to join our in-house design team. This role is primarily focused on preparing and coordinating detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) drawings and shop drawings for high-rise residential developments, while also assisting with architectural shop drawings and construction details.
The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in AutoCAD, have a strong practical understanding of MEP systems, and be capable of independently producing accurate, detailed and coordinated construction drawings with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and coordinate MEP drawings, including:
- Plumbing and drainage layouts
- Water supply layouts
- Electrical layouts
- Fire protection layouts
- MEP riser diagrams and sections
- Detailed layouts showing pipe sizes, fittings, valves and connections
- Drainage slopes, levels and invert levels where applicable
- MEP slab sleeve and opening drawings
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings to identify and resolve clashes
- Incorporate consultant and site markups into construction and shop drawings
- Prepare architectural shop drawings and construction details as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Building Services, Architectural Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant MEP drafting experience, preferably on apartment, high-rise or commercial building projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including layers, xrefs, blocks, plotting, scaling and construction detailing
- Strong practical understanding of MEP systems and how services, fittings and components are installed and connected
- Ability to prepare detailed MEP layouts showing pipes, fittings, valves and connections to appropriate scale, using actual component dimensions where required for accurate installation and coordination
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural and consultant drawings and independently prepare coordinated construction and shop drawings
- Ability to identify and resolve drawing coordination issues with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Revit MEP is highly desirable but not essential
