Tropikal Life International (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Organic Dried Fruits, Coconut and Coconut products such as Desiccated Coconut & Coconut Water, and other produce of Sri Lankan and other Multi origins. We are looking for a proactive, experienced, Assistant Manager – Quality Controller to join our team based in our Seeduwa facility. Selected canddiate is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our quality and food safety standards across our operations.
ASSISTANT MANAGER - QUALITY CONTROLLER
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and quality management systems, including ISO, BRCGS, and IFS.
- Monitor production quality, laboratory testing, sanitation, and process controls to ensure product quality and safety.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformities, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality records, reports, and regulatory documentation in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to achieve quality objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in the coconut water processing industry.
- Experience with UHT processing (coconut water and/or milk) will be a distinct advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and food safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Age below 45 years.
