Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS & Cloud)

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines. You will play a key role in ensuring reliability, security, scalability, and performance of our enterprise applications on AWS and Oman Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS and Oman Cloud.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Build, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and microservices.
- Ensure application reliability, performance, monitoring, and incident response.
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / Oman Kubernetes).
- Manage and optimize databases, storage, networking, and security in cloud environments.
- Implement and enforce DevOps practices, ensuring compliance and best security standards.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and cloud services to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, EKS, etc.) and/or Oman Cloud.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Familiar with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
- Knowledge of security best practices, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills Nice to Have
- Experience with Oman Cloud native services.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, HashiCorp Vault, etc.).
- Experience with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
- Cost optimization and FinOps concepts.
- ITIL or cloud certifications (AWS, OCI, Kubernetes, Hashicorp, etc.).
