Technical Officer (Waterproofing Division - Colombo)

Job Role
The Technical Officer will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on waterproofing solutions within the construction industry. The role involves conducting site visits, assessing technical requirements, recommending suitable waterproofing systems, and ensuring the correct application of products. The candidate should have a sound understanding of construction materials and techniques, with the ability to effectively communicate with contractors, engineers, consultants, and project teams.
The person we are looking for must possess:
- NCT in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in the construction field.
- Prior experience in waterproofing will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer handling will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and waterproofing applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages, internet, and email.
- Excellent communication skills in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.
- Age below 35 years with a valid motorcycle driving license.
- Willingness to travel to construction sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and assess waterproofing requirements.
- Provide technical advice on suitable waterproofing solutions.
- Guide customers on the correct application of products.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and consultants.
- Monitor waterproofing applications and provide technical support.
- Attend to technical issues and customer complaints.
- Conduct product demonstrations and awareness sessions.
- Identify potential projects and business opportunities.
- Assist with quotations and technical proposals.
- Maintain good relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
