Exciting opportunity to work with an Australian Mortgage Broker from our office in Sri Lanka. WIS Mortgages, the mortgage advisory arm of the WIS Group, is expanding its services into the Australian mortgage market and is seeking an experienced Mortgage Paraplanner / Credit Executive to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional to work closely with an Australian mortgage broker and gain exposure to the Australian residential mortgage and lending sector.
We are looking for:
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in the Australian mortgage, mortgage broking, lending or credit industry.
- Practical experience in mortgage paraplanning and/or credit processing.
- Good understanding of the Australian residential mortgage market and lending process.
- Ability to research and compare suitable loan products and lenders based on client requirements.
- Experience assisting with loan structuring and preparing mortgage applications.
- Ability to review and analyse financial documents including payslips, bank statements, tax returns and other supporting documentation.
- Understanding of loan servicing, borrowing capacity and lender lending criteria.
- Excellent standard of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple mortgage applications and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience working directly with an Australian mortgage broker would be an advantage.
- Must be comfortable working Australian business hours from our office in Sri Lanka – 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
What is expected from the role of Mortgage Paraplanner / Credit Executive:
- Assist the Australian mortgage broker in understanding clients' financial requirements and lending objectives.
- Review client financial circumstances and supporting documentation.
- Research and identify suitable lenders and mortgage products based on client requirements and lending criteria.
- Assist with loan structuring and provide recommendations to the mortgage broker.
- Prepare and review mortgage applications and supporting documentation.
- Assist with servicing and borrowing-capacity assessments.
- Identify missing information, inconsistencies or potential issues before applications are submitted.
- Prepare detailed loan comparisons and supporting information for the mortgage broker.
- Liaise with lenders, BDMs and other relevant stakeholders as required.
- Respond to lender queries and requests for additional information.
- Monitor applications and follow up outstanding documentation and lending conditions.
- Assist in progressing applications from submission through approval and settlement.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client and financial information.
