Recognized by its world class buyers for its superior quality and customer satisfaction, the company is looking for a results driven energetic individual to fill the following position at our Head Office located in Kohuwala.
Bulk Procurement Merchandiser
Key Responsibilities
- Review tech packs, purchase orders, BOMs, trim sheets, artwork, and buyer specifications.
- Identify and source trims such as labels, buttons, zippers, elastic, tapes, drawcords, badges, heat transfers, threads, hangtags, packaging, and care labels.
- Prepare trim consumption, purchase quantities and procurement plans to meet planned production dates
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate prices, lead times, payment terms, MOQs, and tooling costs.
- Develop and submit trim samples for buyer approvals.
- Prepare trim cards and ensure production uses only approved materials.
- Place purchase orders or bookings with approved suppliers.
- Follow up on supplier proforma invoices, order confirmations, production status, inspection, shipment, and delivery.
- Coordinate with production planning to ensure trims are in-house before cutting, sewing, and packing.
- Check received trims against the approved sample, purchase order, quantity, colour, size, measurement, and quality standard.
- Coordinate with QA, stores, production, and suppliers to resolve shortages, defects, delays, or incorrect deliveries.
- Monitor excess, leftover, rejected, and obsolete trims to control wastage and inventory.
- Maintain procurement trackers, supplier records, trim summaries, invoices, delivery documents, and approval records.
- Update internal teams and buyers about risks affecting production or shipment dates.
- Preferred candidates living in Colombo Area
