PRODUCTION - TECHNICIAN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults in machinery and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic press systems, screw loaders, conveyors and other related equipment.
- Carry out welding, fabrication, and equipment modification work as required.
- Ensure machinery operates at maximum efficiency with minimal breakdowns and downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections according to the maintenance schedule and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in achieving daily and monthly production targets as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 3/4, Diploma, or an equivalent technical qualification as a Machinist, Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to minimizing machine downtime.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices and workplace safety standards.
