KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks
  • Maintain and update employee records, personal files, and HR databases
  • Support recruitment activities (job postings, CV screening, interview coordination)
  • Prepare appointment letters, service confirmation letters, and other HR documents
  • Handle employee attendance, leave records, and timekeeping systems
  • Assist in payroll data preparation and verification
  • Support onboarding and induction of new employees
  • Coordinate training programs and maintain training records
  • Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal regulations
  • Assist in disciplinary procedures and documentation when required
  • Support performance appraisal processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and HR practices
  • Partly or fully qualified in HRM (added advantage)
  • G.C.E. A/L qualification (Commerce or Arts stream preferred)

SKILLS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of payroll and attendance systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Problem-solving and coordination skills
