ETU/OPD MEDICAL OFFICERS

REQUIREMENTS
- MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- Registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) with valid APC.
- Completed compulsory internship.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in ETU/OPD or Emergency Medicine.
- Good clinical knowledge and ability to manage patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Hospital Information System (HIS) will be an added advantage.
- Neat appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide efficient and effective medical care to patients in ETU/OPD.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients and stabilize emergencies.
- Order and interpret investigations and review treatment plans.
- Refer/admit patients to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Work closely with nursing staff, consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits.
