ASSISTANT ENGINEER – LIGHTNING PROTECTION & SOLAR

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, measurements, technical designs, and accurate project cost estimations.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor material usage and support effective material and cost management.
  • Ensure project quality standards and safety requirements are consistently maintained.
  • Prepare accurate daily progress reports, work schedules, and project documentation.
  • Follow up on contractor payments and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety regulations, and relevant standards throughout project activities.
  • Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • National Diploma in Technology (NDT) or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Lightning Protection design and estimation.
  • Proficiency in solar design software, project management tools, CAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and construction project management.
  • Knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and safety standards applicable to solar installations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and site supervision skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a results-oriented approach.
