Manager / Assistant Manager Marketing & Strategic Support

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and market opportunities
- Lead and coordinate marketing activities across products and market segments while providing direction to the marketing team
- Develop targeted initiatives to increase market share, strengthen brand presence, and drive product adoption
- Work closely with sales, technical, and commercial teams to identify opportunities and execute market development initiatives
- Plan and coordinate product development, positioning, and go-to-market initiatives based on farmer needs and market trends
- Plan and implement farmer training programmes, field demonstrations, awareness programmes, dealer activities, and BTL campaigns
- Strengthen the company's digital and social media presence through effective content and promotional campaigns
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments and provide actionable recommendations to management
- Identify emerging customer needs, agricultural trends, new product categories, and market opportunities
- Support the development and execution of strategic business initiatives and growth plans
- Develop and coordinate POS materials, product communications, promotional literature, and marketing collateral
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and prepare performance reports with recommendations for continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, farmers, industry stakeholders, and business partners
- Ensure marketing initiatives are delivered professionally, cost-effectively, and in line with company policies and brand guidelines
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in Agriculture / Agricultural Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Strategic Management, or a related discipline will be an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within the agro-input industry, including agrochemicals, seeds, fertilizers, or related agricultural products
- Experience in rural agricultural marketing, BTL promotions, farmer engagement, field demonstrations, and market development will be highly advantageous
- Experience in marketing strategy development, competitor analysis, and digital/social media marketing will be an added advantage
- Sound understanding of the Sri Lankan agricultural sector, farming practices, and agro-input market
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities
