EXECUTIVE - COMMERCIAL
Location – Teejay Lanka PLC – Avissawella
The Job
The primary job role mainly encompasses with data analysis to improve the end-to-end commercial operation to increase efficiency, cost optimization and profitability improvement. You will be monitoring and coordinating entire direct export operation while working with all external and internal parties. Also, this role will carry a part on developing internal/external information sources for business analysis needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily direct export operations, ensuring all activities are completed within agreed timelines and internal records are kept up to date.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and design appropriate solutions.
- Apply statistical methods to generate insights into business performance.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to analyze and secure the most competitive freight rates in the market.
- Maintain internal KPIs and conduct timely reviews with supporting documentation; perform root cause analysis for any deviations and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Warehouse, and IT departments to implement effective projects and streamline direct export operations.
The Person
You should be a fully qualified in bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Supply Chain. Minimum 1 year of relevant exposure in a manufacturing environment. You should be IT literate, possess task prioritization and time management capabilities, excellent communication skills, good inter-personal skills and must be able to deal with multi-disciplinary internal and external teams. You should also be proactive, assertive and self-driven with the ability to work in pressurized situations. Working experience in MS Office and advance Excel is a must.
