INTERN – EXPORT OPERATIONS
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company seeks a suitable candidate to join the as Intern – Export Operations. The selected candidates will be based at the Colombo head office.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Assisting operations activities, day-to-day order processing, production coordination, pre-shipment, postshipment documentation, and sample processing.
- Assisting shipping and customer service, negotiating and obtaining competitive freight rates from forwarders, tracking shipments, and updating importers on shipment status.
- Assisting administration activities, organizing, and updating department filing systems, and getting involved in department process development.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Following/completed a degree or diploma in International Business and Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain.
- Management or equivalent or 1-2 years of experience in working at an export organization.
- Good results in Mathematics and English.
- Competent IT skills – proficient in MS Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with customers, stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Sound written and verbal communication in English and Sinhala.
- Open to a learning culture and able to develop basic skills on the job.
- A good team player.
- Good organizing skills to understand the approach to solving a problem.
