Factory Accountant
MA’s Kitchen is a well-known food manufacturer in Sri Lanka. With four manufacturing facilities situated in key growing regions, we manufacture over 300 different products for customers in local and global markets. Our unwavering commitment revolves around providing outstanding culinary solutions to the Retail, Hotels, Restaurants and catering (HoReCa), and Industrial sectors.
We're looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a factory accountant at our Dambulla factory. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our factory operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage cost accounting, variance analysis, and manufacturing overhead calculations.
- Oversee inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and regular audits.
- Prepare weekly and monthly factory P&L reports for management.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Overall responsibility for finance team at the factory and management and reporting of finance and accounts activities at facility.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or CA Sri Lanka).
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong command of ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
The position is based at the company’s main plant in Dambulla; board and lodging can be provided on-site.
