Vacancy: IE Executive / IE Officer
Industrial Engineering – Apparel Manufacturing
Miami Exports, a garment manufacturing facility located in Pallekele, Kandy, invites applications from suitably qualified, energetic, and result-oriented candidates to join our team as an IE Executive / IE Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies, method studies, and work measurement activities to improve production efficiency.
- Analyze garment production processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
- Develop and implement line balancing plans to achieve production targets.
- Monitor line efficiency, SMV performance, operator performance, and production output.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to minimize production delays.
- Support production teams in improving workflow, manpower utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and review SMV and target settings in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Prepare daily and monthly IE reports and analyze production performance.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and other departments to achieve operational targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall factory performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Industrial Engineering within the apparel or garment manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of time and motion studies, SMV calculations, line balancing, and efficiency improvement techniques.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production teams and meet operational deadlines.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Excel are essential.
