Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or a related discipline and/or a recognised professional qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Master's Degree or advanced professional qualification in HRM will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including at least 5 years in a managerial or senior HR leadership role.
- Prior experience in an FMCG, manufacturing or similarly complex operational environment is strongly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws, industrial relations and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in performance management, organisation development, talent management and workforce planning.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to challenge existing practices constructively and drive organisational change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Sinhala.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, independence and result orientation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the Human Resources strategy in alignment with the organisation's business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead organisation development initiatives including workforce planning, organisation structures, job roles and manpower optimisation.
- Establish and strengthen performance management systems across the organisation, ensuring clear accountability and consistent performance standards.
- Develop structured frameworks for career progression, promotions, succession planning, talent identification and leadership development.
- Lead talent acquisition, retention and employee engagement strategies, with particular focus on critical and managerial positions.
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation, grading and benefits structures aligned with performance and market requirements.
- Partner with management and Heads of Departments to address workforce productivity, underperformance, employee relations and organisational capability requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation and consistent application of HR policies, procedures and governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws, statutory regulatory requirements, disciplinary procedures and accepted HR best practices.
- Establish HR analytics and management reporting covering headcount, manpower cost, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, productivity, performance and other key HR indicators.
- Identify training and development requirements and drive programmes to strengthen managerial, supervisory and employee capabilities.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and contribute to building a disciplined, accountable and high-performance workplace culture.
- Provide strategic HR advice and decision support to senior management.
