We're looking for Warehouse Manager- Nuwara Eliya Based
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of a PALAM/A Project warehouse and supervise a team of up to three staff members. The role is responsible for receiving, safely storing, and dispatching commodities in line with programme requirements and commodity management best practices. The position also supports coordination of transportation through third-party vendors and ensures accurate stock, loss, and commodity reporting in compliance with donor and Save the Children policies.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching food commodities in line with USDA/SC policies and commodity management best practices.
- Ensure warehouse infrastructure is maintained, safe, and fit for food storage, while coordinating with external service providers and conducting regular inspections.
- Oversee accurate stock management through physical counts, FIFO storage, pest control, expiry date monitoring, and timely data entry into warehouse management systems.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all stock movements, prepare reports, and manage waybills and packing lists for outbound consignments.
- Supervise a small warehouse team, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure all safety, security, and child safeguarding standards are consistently upheld.
