Jungle Beach – Trincomalee is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie (Butchery) to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about culinary excellence and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and professionalism. The ideal candidate should possess a willingness to learn and contribute effectively to a dynamic kitchen environment.
By delivering excellence in butchery operations, as a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the preparation of high quality meat and seafood products, maintain the highest food safety standards, and contribute to a kitchen culture focused on precision, consistency, and craftsmanship. We are looking for a passionate culinary professional who understands that behind every exceptional dining experience lies carefully prepared ingredients, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
The Ideal Profile We Are Looking For:
- A Proven Track Record: Minimum 02-03 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably within luxury resorts or boutique hotels.
- Culinary Knowledge: Good knowledge of meat, poultry, and seafood handling, portioning, cutting, and storage. The candidate should be able to maintain consistency in portion sizes while ensuring proper handling and minimizing wastage.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Sound knowledge of food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards. The candidate should ensure that all meat and other food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely in accordance with established standards.
- Teamwork & Efficiency: Demonstrates excellent teamwork and organizational skills, ensuring preparation tasks are completed efficiently while supporting the delivery of high culinary standards and the smooth functioning of the kitchen.
- Professional Qualification: A Diploma or Professional Qualification in Hotel Management or a related field.
