Uga Resorts is seeking an Assistant Manager – Learning and Development to join our People & Culture Team, to lead the Learning & Development function at Uga Ulagala – Anuradhapura. We are looking for a hands-on L&D professional who is passionate about nurturing talent, driving employee growth, creating impactful learning experiences, and ensuring our training and development initiatives are delivered seamlessly.
By championing our learning and development strategy, as an Assistant Manager – Learning and development, you will drive capability-building initiatives, support talent development, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning where individuals and teams can thrive. We are looking for a professional who understands that behind every stunning property and breathtaking guest experience lies a skilled workforce, a culture of continuous learning, and a commitment to developing talent and empowering people to achieve their full potential.
The Ideal Profile We Are Looking For:
- A Proven Track Record: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Learning and development or in a similar role, ideally within the luxury hospitality or premium resort sector.
- Learning & Development Excellence: Strong hands-on expertise in learning and development, including facilitating training programs, maintaining accurate learning records, managing training administration, and driving initiatives that support continuous employee growth and development.
- Collaboration and Accountability: A dependable team player who partners effectively with leaders and colleagues across the property to identify learning needs, support talent development initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Professionalism & Coaching Mindset: High integrity, accountability, and adaptability, with the ability to coach, mentor, and guide employees in their development journey while fostering a culture of learning and performance improvement.
- Professional Qualifications: Qualification in Hotel/Hospitality Management along with Training & Development from a recognized institute is preferred.
