Responsibilities
- Visit farmers (organic & conventional) and assist in transitioning to organic farming
- Organize farmer groups and awareness programs
- Arrange training sessions and meetings
- Support farmers in improving cultivation methods
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and suppliers
- Guide farmers on basic organic certification requirements
- Ensure farmers meet quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the supply chain
- Provide simple reports on farmer activities and progress
Requirements
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Basic negotiation skills for working with farmers and suppliers
- Interest in agriculture and organic farming
- Willingness to travel across the country (travel facilities provided)
- Basic knowledge of farming and food processing (training provided)
- Prior experience in farming, supply chain, or agriculture is a plus but not required
- Valid motorbike riding license is required
Applicants surrounding Giriulla, Mirigama or Kuliyapitiya regions are preferred.
