Sales & Marketing Manager
Based in Colombo
Athgira is growing beyond a single hotel into an integrated nature-based hospitality and tourism portfolio in Udawalawe - bringing together distinctive stays, dining, wildlife, safari and authentic nature experiences.
We are looking for a commercially driven and strategically minded Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the next stage of our growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an integrated sales & marketing strategy
- Drive room, dining & experience sales across key segments
- Build strong B2B relationships (DMCs, tour operators, travel agents, corporate)
- Expand presence in Colombo & key source markets
- Strengthen direct bookings and reduce OTA dependence
- Lead digital marketing, social media, content & online reputation
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity & pricing
- Develop strategic partnerships and promotional collaborations
- Work closely with reservations and property teams to maximise conversion
- Establish sales targets, KPIs, budgets and performance reporting
- Represent Athgira at trade events, sales calls and networking opportunities
- Contribute to new products, packages and experiences across the portfolio
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in hotel/tourism Sales & Marketing
- Proven travel trade & DMC relationships
- Experience in hotel sales and corporate clients
- Good understanding of OTAs & digital marketing
- Strong negotiation, presentation & communication skills
- Strong commercial & analytical ability
- Willingness to travel to Udawalawe and other locations when required
