What you need to do
- Supervise and execute final multi-point quality inspections on all vehicles post-repair or service, ensuring 100% resolution of the original customer complaints.
- Verify the operational integrity of high-voltage systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), braking systems, and core safety features.
- Manage, schedule, and allocate tasks to location-based QC Technicians, ensuring optimal coverage across mechanical, diagnostic, and bodyshop delivery lines.
- Conduct regular calibration sessions with technicians and QC staff to align on what constitutes an acceptable vs defective repair standard.
- Investigate and root-cause all return jobs or reworks, logging findings to identify recurring technical failures or technician errors.
- Maintain the location's Quality Control Logbook and provide weekly quality exception reports to the Workshop Supervisor and Service Manager.
- Ensure that diagnostic scanners, battery testers, and specialized EV insulation tools used by the QC team are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Stay updated with the latest principal technical bulletins, recall notices, and diagnostic software updates to ensure the QC team applies current inspection techniques.
- Enforce absolute adherence to High-Voltage safety protocols, ensuring proper vehicle isolation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during inspections.
- Maintain an immaculate, organized, and safe designated QC bay and road-testing workspace.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive, NVQ Level 04 and 05 or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 05 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Lead within a modern automotive dealership environment.
- At least 2 years of dedicated experience in a Quality Control / Quality Assurance.
- Role within a high-volume workshop is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems and verify technical solutions.
