Motor Pool Supervisor
The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants to serve as the Motor Pool Supervisor in the General Services Office.
The selected candidate will serve as the Motor Pool Supervisor, overseeing all the employees in the Motor Pool unit, planning, directing, and monitoring the use and maintenance of motor vehicles and the training and assignment of chauffeurs to provide efficient and safe transportation to post personnel and official visitors.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time - 48 hours per week.
The monthly gross salary for this position will be Rs. 311,206.00
Qualifications Required:
- 1. Education - Completion of two years Post Secondary Education (G.C.E. A/L) College or University Studies required (Candidate must attach GCE AL results sheet and two-year College or University studies certificate and transcript).
- 2. Prior Work Experience - Minimum of three years of experience in vehicle fleet management is required. Plus, at least one year experience in a supervisory role is required (Candidate must attach copies of relevant service/work experience certificates).
- 3. Language Proficiency -
- Good reading, writing, and speaking ability in English is required (This will be tested).
- Good reading, writing, and speaking ability in Sinhala or Tamil is required.
- 4. Job Knowledge - Knowledge of motor vehicle practices, traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, procedures, streets, traffic patterns, commonly visited locations, vehicle maintenance and budget planning.
- 5. Skills & Abilities -
- Must have good organizational, leadership, negotiation, communication and writing skills.
- Good working computer skills to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and motor pool applications.
- Must possess a class 'B', formerly C, C1, valid driver's license (Candidate must attach a copy of the relevant driver's license) (Both Sides).
