Manager - Trade Services
Job Responsibilities
- Identify new market opportunities to elevate the profile of the bank’s Trade Finance products
- Coordinate matters regarding Correspondent Bank Relationships to facilitate efficient trade, guarantee, and treasury transactions
- Build strong partnerships with Relationship Managers (RMs) to market trade business and maintain robust relationships with internal and external customers
- Review applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external policies, while handling complex transactions escalated by subordinate staff
- Manage trade revenues against the Annual Operations Plan (AOP) and monitor and maintain the department’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards to ensure service requirements are met consistently
- Enforce strict adherence to KYC, AML and internal control frameworks to minimize financial losses arising from operational risks
- Facilitate the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and track action plans to resolve any identified gaps or issues
- Perform as the departmental coordinator for Business Continuity planning (BCP) and information security tasks in the department
Experience & Qualifications
- Full or part qualification in Banking or Finance/ Degree from a recognized university
- Diploma in Trade Management is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of URDG 758/UCP 600/UCC 522/URR 725/ISBP & Trade Products
- Good communication/ interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyse and make decisions independently
- Proficiency in computer literacy
