Business Development Executive – Field Operations
Contract: 01 Year Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Mobility Aftermarket, Sri Lanka
Overview
A leading multinational company is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and detail-oriented professional to join its team as a Business Development Executive – Field Operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving market execution, business growth, and customer engagement within the Mobility Aftermarket industry in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and market development across assigned territories.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, workshops, fleets, and key customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and business development activities.
- Support new product introductions and promotional campaigns.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, trends, and customer requirements.
- Identify fast-moving applications, assortment gaps, and growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports and follow-up actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in field sales, business development, channel sales, or automotive aftermarket industry.
- Experience working with distributors, dealers, workshops, fleets, institutional customers, or trade networks.
- Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket products, applications, and customer buying behavior.
- Ability to travel extensively across Sri Lanka and independently manage field activities.
Required Capabilities
- Strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset.
- Excellent field execution and follow-up skills.
- Effective relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to quickly learn and promote technical products and applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
