FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

JOB ROLE
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/LKAS) and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, presentations for Board meetings and key management reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor daily bank balances, receipts, and deposits to ensure accurate cash position reporting and review bank reconciliations.
- Liaise with Internal and External Auditors and coordinate the preparation, review, and finalization of annual statutory audits.
- Review and approve supplier payments in accordance with established authorization procedures and internal controls.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, including the Inland Revenue Department, on taxation and other financial and regulatory matters.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Associate Member of CA Sri Lanka or an equivalent professional qualification. (ACMA/ACCA/CFA).
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
