Deputy Manager – Motor Claims
Colombo (Head Office)
MBSL Insurance is looking for a results-driven Motor Claims professional to lead claims operations and turn claims data into insight that drives reserving, leakage control and profitability.
What you’ll do
- Manage motor claims with timely reserves and settlements
- Strengthen claims controls and prevent leakage
- Analyse claims data (frequency, severity, loss ratios, ageing) and prepare MIS reports for senior management
- Monitor reserve adequacy, spot fraud indicators and recommend cost-saving actions
- Build dashboards and KPIs; provide insights to support underwriting and pricing
- Coordinate with reinsurers, legal teams, investigators and service providers
- Resolve customer complaints and boost team productivity
What we’re looking for
- Diploma in a relevant field (a degree or insurance qualification is an advantage)
- Around 10 years’ motor claims experience in insurance
- Proven claims data analysis and reporting skills, with strong Excel (Power BI is an advantage)
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and handle multiple stakeholders
