ASSISTANT MANAGER SALES /SALES EXECUTIVE – CHINA MARKET
W15 Collection is a portfolio of distinctive boutique hotels and villas across Sri Lanka, offering intimate, personalized and experience-led stays across the mountains, tea country, coast and city.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager Sales – China Market to develop and grow our presence within the Chinese luxury and boutique travel market.
WHAT YOU WILL BE OVERLOOKING
- Develop and execute sales initiatives to grow W15's business from the Chinese market.
- Identify and develop relationships with Chinese luxury travel agencies, DMCs, tour operators, travel advisors.
- Generate new business opportunities and follow up on qualified leads.
- Conduct sales calls, presentations and product training for Chinese partners.
- Coordinate and support agent inspections, FAM trips and trade visits.
- Maintain regular communication and follow-up with partners through WeChat and other relevant channels.
- Monitor Chinese travel trends, customer preferences and market opportunities.
- Support W15's presence on Xiaohongshu (RED), Douyin, WeChat and Ctrip/Trip.com.
- Identify suitable Chinese KOC and luxury travel creator partnerships.
- Support the development of Chinese-language marketing and sales materials.
- Develop seasonal campaigns and promotions relevant to the Chinese travel calendar.
- Work closely with Marketing, Reservations and Operations team.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts, sales activities, leads and opportunities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Fluent in Chinese – speaking, reading and writing is essential.
- Good command of English – both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in hotel sales, travel trade, tourism or hospitality is preferred.
- Experience dealing with the Chinese market, Chinese travel agents or DMCs would be a strong advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Digital and social media awareness, particularly familiarity with WeChat, Xiaohongshu/RED and Douyin, would be an advantage.
- Proactive and commercially minded.
- Well organised with strong follow-up and time-management skills.
