ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities
- Record all sales, purchase, expense, journal and bank transactions accurately in the accounting system
- Ensure every entry carries correct cost centre, tax code and supporting documentation
- Maintain the fixed asset register and post depreciation
- Perform daily bank reconciliations across all company accounts
- Reconcile stock ledgers between the DMS, billing system and books of account; investigate variances
- Prepare monthly management reports and provide information to various departments; support budgets and forecasts
- Prepare payment runs – vendor, OEM, statutory etc; for approval
- Follow up on receivables from customers and monitor collections
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and year end close and preparation of accounts
- Support month end closing and preparation of management accounts
What we're looking for
- Education
- Part-qualified CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA, or a degree in Accounting / Commerce with AAT completion
- Experience
- 4-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading, import or dealership environment
