Stores Executive / Stores Audit Executive / Stores Assistant
Sporting Times; a subsidiary of E. W. Balasuriya & Co. Ltd, is seeking to appoint a Stores Executive / Store Assistant and an Audit Executive (Stores).
The preferred candidate should have the following:
Stores Executive (Pagoda Road)
- Main Responsibilities
- Supervise daily stock receiving, issuing, uploading, material management, dispatch and disposal.
- Maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
- Plan and conduct periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
- Supervise stores staff and ensure safety, housekeeping and security standards.
- Prepare MIS reports and daily stock-level alerts.
- Ensure stock accuracy, accountability and loss prevention.
- Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field from a recognized university or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 03 years' experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- Should be computer literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Packages.
Stores Assistant – Kandy
- Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and plan inbound and outbound stock activities.
- Issue items against authorized requisitions.
- Assist with stock verification and report discrepancies.
- Maintain documents and stock records.
- Support daily clerical and stores operations.
- Assist with receiving, issuing and routine inventory control.
- Job Requirements
- Passed GCE A/L.
- Age below 35 years.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- A certificate in Stores Operation or related qualification.
- Basic knowledge of Computer literacy (MS Office).
Stores Audit Executive – Main Stores
- Main Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
- Perform spot audits at stores and centres.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and reconciliation variances.
- Monitor inbound and outbound stock accuracy.
- Prepare MIS reports and stock-count schedules.
- Maintain confidentiality and independence during stock verification.
- Job Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Operations, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in internal/external auditing.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies, accounting standards, and risk management practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
