CONSULTANCY

Build awareness and capacities of local organizations, authorities, and networks to prevent SGBV.

INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT

The IGNITE project seeks to engage a qualified consultant/consultancy firm to strengthen the capacity of state and non-state stakeholders to prevent and respond to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) through evidence-based interventions, institutional capacity development, and enhanced coordination of service provision.

Despite the existence of a range of government institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs), and community-based mechanisms that provide SGBV-related services, gaps remain in service accessibility, coordination, referral pathways, institutional capacities, and awareness of survivor-centered approaches. These gaps have been further exacerbated by the socio-economic impacts of the recent economic crisis and the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters which have increased vulnerabilities while placing additional pressure on service providers.

To address these challenges, the project intends to conduct a comprehensive mapping of SGBV service providers and institutional capacities, develop and implement capacity-building programmes for key stakeholders, and promote awareness on protection, psychosocial support, and staff well-being. The assignment will contribute to strengthening survivor-centered service delivery, improving institutional collaboration, and enhancing the capacity of duty bearers and CSOs to prevent, mitigate, and respond to SGBV effectively.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ASSIGNMENT

Chrysalis is seeking the services of an experienced consultancy firm, or a team will be responsible for designing and implementing the assignment using participatory, gender-sensitive, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed approaches while ensuring alignment with national SGBV policies, referral mechanisms, and existing service frameworks.
