VACANCY

Sands Active (Pvt) Limited is (a subsidiary of Melwa Group) a BOI approved state of the art Pharmaceutical manufacturing company by partnering with the State Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation Sri Lanka with the intention to fulfil local pharmaceutical related demands.

SENIOR EXECUTIVE - CALIBRATIONS AND VALIDATIONS

  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Preparation and revision of SOPs related to calibration of instruments and Calibration Master Plan.
    • Preparation of qualification protocols and reports for equipment used in QA/QC including Air Handling Units (AHUs) and related systems.
    • Planning, execution and documentation of calibration and validation activities, and maintaining calibration master files.
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards (ISO/IEC 17025, GMP) and internal QA/QC procedures.
    • Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely calibration and acceptance of results.
    • Supervising and developing junior staff involved in calibration activities.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
    • 05 years’ experience in calibration and validation in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision and deliver under pressure.
    • Excellent communication skills in English.

SENIOR EXECUTIVE - QUALITY CONTROL

  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Establish and maintain NABL accreditation 17025/2017 Quality Manual, SOPs and related records.
    • Implement and monitor quality control processes and internal audits.
    • Maintain traceability of measurement results and properly estimate measurement uncertainty.
    • Participate in method development/validation and proficiency testing as required.
    • Review raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products for quality compliance.
    • Prepare, review and approve QC documentation and deviation investigations.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • BSc Chemistry or equivalent.
    • 05 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory or similar environment.
    • Ability to work in shifts and demonstrate strong communication skills in English.

OFFICER - QUALITY CONTROL

  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Perform routine analysis of raw materials, excipients, packaging materials, water analysis and finished products.
    • Prepare and maintain QC documentation, SOPs and calibration records.
    • Assist in investigations and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • BSc Chemistry or equivalent.
    • 01 year experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory or a similar environment.
